Dr. Orawit Thinnukool

Asst. Prof in Arts, Media and Tech College

Dr. Orawit Thinnukool received the Ph.D. degree in research methodology and data analytics from the Prince of Songkla University, in 2014. He was promoted to an Assistant Professor of information technology and management with Chiang Mai University.


He is currently the Head of the Research Excellence Center Unit, Chiang Mai University. He is also working with the Department of Modern Management, College of Arts, Media and Technology, Chiang Mai University.


Dr. Orawit has over seven years of experience in computational science and informatics, with a focus on applying IoT and AI within ad hoc networks. His work addresses communication disruptions and topology changes in networks, and he is keen on using AI for monitoring health metrics, particularly relevant in the COVID-19 context. He also investigates the role of cloud computing in enhancing business and healthcare, analyzing data transmission in Flying Ad Hoc Networks (FANETs), and integrating GPS technology. Additionally, Dr. Orawit studies the advancement of health monitoring tools like infrared thermometers for effective pandemic management.
